Graffiti is largely illegal in most American communities, but that hasn't stopped street artists from rendering large and very public demonstrations of exquisite art. Some graffiti artists, among them Shepard Fairey, Jim Clay Harper, Danielle Bremner, and the mysterious British artist Banksy have become world famous.
