Robot Journalism: AI and the News

In the 1960s, when most American households had a TV, people got much of their news from one of a few nightly programs. Many people also read a daily newspaper, which covered major local, national, and global events. But in modern times, individuals can choose from dozens of television channels and online shows, thousands of websites and digital newspapers, and millions of social media posts claiming to be the most accurate news reporting of the day. And artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the way news is reported even more.
